March 6, 2008Upgrade Your Life
From Gus - The Possibility Hunter
Yesterday I upgraded my phone. The ole Nokia served me well, but goodbye 1998, hello 2005 technology. (2008 is scheduled for around 2012).
My Ericsson is pretty, but will it make my good work great? Or will it just give my good work an MP3 ringtone? I know I’ll probably never make a video call. And when Mum calls I don’t need a photo to pop up to remind me of who she is. So, apart from the non-functional ‘7’, and an 18 minute battery life, did I really need this upgrade?
No.
Brian Lee of Genius Types (one of my favourite blogs) is lucky enough to have made productive technology upgrades, with the iPhone. You can read about it here.
But technology is not the only thing you can upgrade.
If you’re going to upgrade, where will you get most bang for your buck? It may be something a little more… internal.
Upgrade some habits. Upgrade some systems.
