January 2, 2008Quit your resolutions NOW!
You know New Years Resolutions don’t work…
Did you know that 93% of New Years Resolutions are broken within a week?
OK, I just invented that statistic… but I still stand by my assertion that NYRs often create nothing more than a rod to beat ourselves up.
No fun. And not much use.
So if your NYR feels a little bit like the “same old same old”; and you’re relying on sheer will power to make it happen; and you think THIS time it will be different… abandon your resolution NOW!
And that said - I’d love 2008 to be a different, bolder, braver year for you, one of happiness, challenge and fulfillment.
So here’s a way…
Watch these to get the juices going
Start with The 5.75 Questions You’ve Been Avoiding. It will get you thinking about the “big picture” and what really matters.
Pick an area to focus in The Eight Irresistible Principles of Fun. It will be a springboard to do something differently.
You have two routes to choose from
Look below on this post to seeĀ an article about two different approaches to NYRs:
==> 1. The Sound & Sensible
==> 2. Pushing the Edges
Check them out.
Pick an approach.
(One of them has the secret to doubling the likelihood you’ll do what you want to do.)
And then drop me a line in the comments to tell me what your plans are.
