January 1, 2008New Year’s Resolutions redux
From Gus - The Possibility Hunter
New Year’s Resolution No.1: Have a good hard look at my 2007 resolutions without discarding the entire concept because it’s stupid.
Reviewing my NYRs has always been vaguely distressing, since they’re usually the same ones, usually met with the same level of success.
As such, setting NYRs tends to be done with as much gusto as filling out my tax return, but without the promise of a cheque in the mail.
“I’ll drink less this year. Again. I’ll get fit this year. Finally… That weight I put on in ‘02 could go this year. Possibly…”
Lawrence Cheok gives you six guilt-free steps to reviewing your old, NYRs. If you’re like me (and come on, you know you are!) check it out.
Right, now that’s done, it’s time to look ahead to a prosperous 2008.
Scott Young gives you 14 steps to make sure your NYRs are not part of the 85% of all resolutions that don’t happen. I especially like “Increase Positive Feedback” which sounds like my kind of resolution.
